What is a HIP Band and what does it do?

The hip band is many things all wrapped into one. It is a statement of HIP; Honor, Integrity Purpose. It looks good and it has function as a useful tool. It could get you out of a tight predicament, might even save your life as a survival tool! Paracord bands have been around for years they look good and it is always smart to have some cordage on you if you ever need it.

HOW DO I USE A HIP BAND?

There are many uses that come into play when an emergency arises. Tie a boot or shoe, strap up anything when cordage is needed, Tie up a tent, fix a backpack, survival fishing, the uses are endless. If you need it you have it and we want you to us it. Para cord is made up of a strong 550 cord. Each inch in your HIP BAND is equivalent to 11 inches of 550 pound strength cord. Each cord has 7 inner yams (strands) of string that are 35 pound test each plus the sheath, and each inner yam (string) had three strand at 10 pounds of tinsel strength.

EXAMPLE: The average male wrist has 8 inches of woven paracord in a HIP BAND:

8” x 11” = 88 total inches of cord. 7.33 feet
7.33 feet x 7 yams (string) = 51.33 feet of string
51.33 feet x 3 strands of string = 154 feet of usable material on your wrist at all times.

What if my Hip Band gets wet?

The HIP Band is made of a very durable mildew – mold resistant material. No need to take it off.

Will my HIP Band Shrink?

Yes a HIP BAND will lose roughly ¼” inch in length from their original size the first time you get it wet and hang it out to dry. We recommend that you order them a bit loose.

Can I clean my HIP Band?

We wash ours all the time. If you’re wearing it in your day to day you are inevitably going to get dirt and debris on your Band. Feel free to use a mild soap to clean your HIP Band. Lightly brush your band with a toothbrush, rinse and let dry. Back to fresh and ready to go when you need it the most!

Between sizes: when I measure my wrist and it is between the sizes in your web site what do I do?

We recommend that you go up a 1/2 size, as you want the HIP Band to fit correctly.

How long does it take for my band to be made and shipped out after I order?

We know you are waiting to get going on your journey of Hip. Most HIP Bands are made within 24 – 48 business hours of your order and shipped on the same day they are made. However due to high demand and distance in delivery please allow up to two weeks for delivery.

What happens if I change my mind on a color or a size after I have ordered?

With the turn around time we demand on our staff, it is hard to change your mind after it is ordered. Best thing to do is to make sure of your size, check it again and then decide what color you like best, please check your size and color again. Place your order when it is right for you. Our goal is that you are satisfied with your order.
